Long Bennington is a village in South Kesteven, south Lincolnshire, England. It is equidistant from Newark-on-Trent (Notts) and Grantham(Lincs). It has a population of of 2,100 people.

Lorry Break-in (A1Foston)
At approximately 3.20am on Tuesday 31st August 2010 a lorry was broken into on the A1.

It was parked up at the Bodkin Hall Northbound layby at Foston. Numerous tyres, all different brands, were stolen.

A blue low load Trailor 10 x 6 foot was stolen from a field, which kept horses in on Main Road in Long Bennington.

a male claiming to be from the water board knocked on the door of a property in the Main st area of Dry doddington.
